Just a quick reminder that you can watch Kameron's fourth start for the Hawks live early tomorrow morning - 4:00AM CST. The Hawks (9-11-1) will be facing the Lions (9-11-1).

All Sorts of Confusing

So, in my last post, I said Kameron's last was at home. I'm pretty sure I was wrong. For some reason, I saw Tokyo Dome and instantly thought Yahoo! Dome. Woops. So actually, Kameron didn't start at home last time either. That means his first three starts have all come on visiting turf. Not cool. Even his next start looks to be scheduled for away. In fact, if the rotation and everything stays the same, he won't get to pitch for the home town crowd until May 12th. Of course, he pitches on Tuesdays too, which means if you want to watch him pitch, you have to get up early on a weekday. Very frustrating...

In other news, if you are interest in reading actual write ups about the Hawks' games, you can go here. To make it easy, the following are the links to the games Kameron has pitched in:

1st Start - Hawks v.s. Eagles Box Score
3rd Start - Hawks v.s. Fighters Box Score

The guy didn't do a write up for the second game so you can go here for the box score from the second game (I can't remember if I have already put the link up for it or not).

Next Start Alert:
  • Japan Date and Time: Tuesday, April 28th at 6:00pm @ The Seibu Dome (Seibu Lions)
  • U.S. Date and Time: Monday, April 27th at 4:00am CST on TVants (Look for Saitama Seibu Lions feed)
I can't believe it but, two weeks from tomorrow will be my last day at TCU until the Fall. Everyone said college would go by fast - I believe them now. For my summer I will be at home in Austin, watching lots of baseball and, my personal favorite, sleeping until noon.

Game Day

Once again, Kameron will be pitching tomorrow morning at 4:00am CST. For the first time this season, Kameron will be starting at home, in the Yahoo! Dome. They will be playing the Nippon Ham Fighters. Have fun if you're staying up! Good Luck to Kameron!

New E-Mail

I give up. I give up trying to figure out how to work G-Mail. It is impossible. I have created a Yahoo! account where I can use their Classic Mail service. Basically, the first part of the address is the same. The only difference is the end: instead of "gmail.com" it is "yahoo.com".

keepinupwithkam@yahoo.com

Tomorrow I will have a write up of Kameron's outing from earlier Today.

That is all.

Game Day/Morning

If you have nothing to do tomorrow and can stay up late or wake up early, Kameron will be pitching tomorrow morning at 4:00am CST. The Hawks will be the visitors once again so, your best bet to find the game on TvAnts will be to search for "NPB", and to locate the home feed of the Seibu Lions.

This will be Kameron's second start for the Hawks. Currently, he is 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA.

A Few Notes...

I've got a few notes from this past week and for this weekend:
(Note: Some may be off-topic because I really feel like blogging tonight)

1) The Blog has a new look. I was getting a little bored with the old layout and decided it was time for a new one.

2) In Kameron's first official start for the Hawks, he went 6 1/3 innings allowing six runs. Four of those runs were earned. He gave up six hits while striking out two and walking four. The Hawks lost 6-0. Click here for the complete box score.

3) I had thought that Kameron's next start would be on Sunday afternoon. If this would have been true, we would have been able to watch the game Saturday night at 11:00pm CST. Unfortunately, it appears as if there is a six-person rotation for the Hawks, moving his next possible start to Tuesday. This means that if you want to watch the game, you will have to watch it at 4:00am CST Tuesday.

4) I don't like the idea of a six-person rotation because, with the schedule the way it is (with Mondays off) Kameron will continue to pitch on a Tuesday.

5) OT: I went to the Ranger's home opener on Monday. I got an epic sunburn. I was as red as their new red uniforms.

6) OT: On Wednesday I went to the Waste Water Treatment Plant for my Environmental Science class. It was...interesting. We had to wear hard hats but, we didn't ever walk underneath anything. I can't quite figure that one out.

7) The Hawks are playing the Nippon Ham Fighters for their current series. Former Ranger Jason Botts plays for the Fighters.

8) The atmosphere of a Japanese baseball game is incredibly different than any MLB game I have ever seen. While I was watching the Hawks' game the other night, I was amazed by the fans. There was rarely any moment that they were quiet.

9) Before I changed the layout, I noticed that the blog had reach over 1,000 hits. That is incredible. The ticker disappeared once I changed the layout.

10) Finally, I send my condolences to the family, friends and fans of Angel's pitcher Nick Adenhart.

If You're Up Again...

I thought that I would just let everyone know that I just watched Kameron pitch one perfect inning for Softbank. If you are looking for the game, once again, download the TvAnts program mention two posts ago. In the search bar, type NPB. Instead of selecting Fukuoka.... select Tohuko Golden Eagles. The Hawks are away, making the only feed available the Eagles' home feed.

One note: If you are watching, the program tends to stop playing after innings are over: No fear, the feed will come back after a while.

Enjoy if you are watching! This is truly an awesome day.

If You're Up...

Today (Japan)/Tomorrow (U.S.), Kameron will be making his first official start with the Hawks. The games starts at 6:00pm Japan time or 4:00am C.S.T. (I think...feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

As I stated in my earlier post, I believe you will be able to watch the game live via TvAnts if you are interested in watching. The game will be an away game so, I'm not 100% sure it will be Fukuoka in the title as I described last post. They will be playing the Golden Eagles so try to look for Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles somewhere in the title.

That's it for now, off to study and such.

Wanna Watch A Ballgame?

I may have have the best news ever. Last night, while messing around on the computer, I successfully found a live broadcast of the Softbank game. Tonight, using the same software, I am currently watching the Hawks battle the Orix Buffaloes....it's 0-0 in the top of the 5th.

What is this magical FREE software you ask? It's called TvAnts. All you have to do, is download and watch. While everything is almost everything is in Japanese (the scoreboard on the screen is simple enough to follow), I find it fascinating to listen to the crowd. Drums, whistles, chanting, they are never quiet.

The program quality is pretty good. The screen that loads is a little small but, you can maximize it if you want. The only thing is that the larger screen is a little grainy. A few times it will freeze but, it usually fixes itself pretty quickly. Really though, no complaints considering the feed is coming all the way from Japan.
On perk is that TvAnts just isn't Japanese TV shows. It has numerous Chinese and Korean channels, as well as lots of American channels. I watched the MLB network for a while on it earlier.

Here are the instruction after you have downloaded the software:

-Open up TvAnts and allow for the Channels to load on the screen.
-Once they have loaded, scroll down to where the non-english Characters begin.
-Look for NPB: Fukuoka... in the title.
-Double Click and let it buffer.
-Sit back, and enjoy the game.
*If you can't locate the feed the way described above, just type "NPB" in the search box at the top of the screen and it should come up then. Be sure it has "Fukuoka" in the title so that you load the right game.

P.S. I pre-apoligize for spelling/grammatical errors. It's 12:40am and I just got back from a full day at Six Flags. Soooo tired.
